It is a hot day in the juice cafe at the end of the road
where this fruit juice center stood lonely for the thirsty.
A mango and a banana are busy polishing themselves
waiting for the next customer to get themselves squashed.
The papaya is a bit worried as he hasn’t turned yellow yet
though he was ripe from the interior but that he only knew.
But the guava was worried because he had turned yellow
and the orange because he was still green and not orange.
Chances were one of them would be picked soon
unless the guy who just walked in wanted a cocktail.
The melon and the pineapple are biding their time
their hopes growing with the weather turning hot.
Sadly for the grape and the avocado they never knew
how long they would have to fruitfully wait…
