The Eerie House

Now there someone played the piano
again, not sure how long it had been
I could hear it every time at dusk
just as the sun would silently vanish

Who could it be, as i enter the room
someone who played it has now stopped
I can not see anyone and anything
but a chair facing the now silent piano

I climb up the stairs rickety now with age
holding the carved wood to keep both
mental and physical as i appear on the edge
I hear someone singing an old lullaby

Who could it be, as i enter the room
someone who sang it has now stopped
I can not see anyone and anything
but a cradle facing an old worn out bed

I rush down the stairs in my fearful  descend
I can hear the cradle rocking with the lullaby
I rush across the room and out of the house
the Eerie house has started the piano again…
